Steering the Winding Road of a Project: Navigating the Twists and Turns of PBLL Assessment and Feedback
Project-based language learning (PBLL) demands excellent assessment practices to ensure that all learners are supported in the learning process.
Growth mindset connects to Project Based Language Learning because the PBLL process requires a shift in thinking, learning, and understanding. In PBLL, not “yet” is an ongoing state.
The practice of assessment should be like breathing - there should be assessment constantly happening in your classroom and during your project. During this workshop, we will explore a student- centered approach to assessment that promotes growth mindset and support development of content and language during the the project.
As in any hands-on workshop you will live and feel assessment techniques that you can later apply to the different stages of a project.
